The SP Pump from Smart Products. and drum seal manufactured from a different material to suit the application. The material is denoted by the pumps colour;, blue for nitrile, red for ethylene propylene and green for fluorocarbon. The SP Pump works by pressurising the sealed container which d i s p l a c e s the fluid through the dual-action tap. This allows the fluid to be p u m p e d out with m i n i m u m effort but also ensures there are no d i s p e n s i n g s u r g e s . Hands-free operation of the pump is also possible.

to companies which need durable, self-priming p u m p s to accurately dose a wide range of viscosities, from gases to thick slurries. The Mityflex 913 series perstalticperistaltic pumps are bench top designed with steel cases, variable flow control and a three position switch. They are available in three models with single head configurations to deliver from 0.3 ml/ min up to 800 ml/min. The c o m p a n y also p r o d u c e s the 913 Series with a dual head which is capable of pumping up to 1500 ml/min. Pump heads are constructed of polypropylene, which provides broad chemical resistance profile and resists cracking. These pumps are suitable for chemical transfer applications wherever accurate dispensing, purity and reliable operation are critical factors. PerstalticPeristaltic pumps preserve the integrity of chemicals and hygienic conditions for medicinal and food grade liquids because the pumped substance contacts only the transfer tube. To prevent cross contamination when a single unit pumps different substances, users simply replace the transfer tube. Users can stop, start and reverse the pump without changing the speed setting, a timesaving feature which avoids the need to reset the pump speed before every period of operation. For added flexibility, the pump head can be rotated, allowing the transfer tubing to exit to the left, right, top or bottom of the pump. Anko powers the pump with a heavy duty 90 V DC motor for longer life.

Canned-motor p u m p safely h a n d l e s slurries

Chempump's TX Series cannedmotor pumps are designed for pumping process fluids incorporating a high concentration of solids. Unlike conventional canned-pumps, the TX Series offers a number of innovative features that make it suitable for pumping high-percent slurries. The p u m p ' s open-impeller design is less restrictive than ordinary closed-impeller units, and thereby more efficient at moving solids. Ball bearings limit axial and radial movement of the rotating element, reducing vibration-induced wear and noise. Clean lubrication oil in the motor cavity and around the ball bearings serves to reduce friction and remove heat from the motor, providing a cooler operating temperature for the motor and motor-section components. Other features include an oil reservoir located in the rear of the motor that provides lubrication fluid to the motor and
