Expansion of quick disconnect couplings series Power management company, Eaton has expanded its FD85 series of quick disconnect couplings, providing reliable connections for additional sizes.

tion applications. The couplings are now also available in 1 ¼ inch and 2 inch body sizes, giving engineers more flexibility and choice of coupling.

The quick disconnect coupling help prevent downtime caused by leakages, pressure drops and contamination of hydraulic fluid in industrial and mobile equipment, oil and gas, and construc-

There are now six sizes in the thread to connect FD85 Series, ranging from ¾ inch to 2 inch, and all carry a Lloyd's Registry Certificate for oil and gas applications as standard. The independent certification provides assurance that the couplings will perform to industry standards.

GEA presents products for beverage industry at BrauBeviale 2016 Suppliers of process technology for the food and beverage industry, GEA, took the opportunity to showcase its new pump products for the beverage industry at BrauBeviale 2016, one of the most important European trade fairs for production and marketing of beer and soft drinks. During 2016, GEA reorganized its hygienic pump range, and has combined them in the Smartpump Line for standard configura-

tions, as well as in the Varipump Line. The Varipump models, optimized for demanding applications such as in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and the dairy business, offer maximum flexibility in use. These pumps have an excellent surface finish and a complete absence of pores in the product contact area. The result of intensive collaboration is the new GEA Hilge HYGIA range. www.gea.com

Suite of drive solutions provides harmonic mitigation Industrial automation and information company, Rockwell Automation, has released a suite of drive solutions. The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 755T drives provide harmonic mitigation, regeneration and common bus system configurations. The latest PowerFlex drive offering marks the introduction of TotalFORCE technology from Rockwell Automation. This new drive technology delivers superior motor control through precise, adaptive control of velocity, torque and position for electric motors. TotalFORCE technology incorporates several features designed to help optimize a user’s system and maintain productivity. The expanded Allen-Bradley drive portfolio now includes the PowerFlex 755TL low-harmonic drive,

PowerFlex 755TR regenerative drive, and PowerFlex 755TM common DC bus drive system, all compliant to the IEEE 519 specification. These new drives offer the additional advantages of a worldclass footprint, comprehensive diagnostic and maintenance features, and simplified start-up and installation. www.rockwell.com

International designer and manufacturer of submersible pumps, Zenit, has introduced its Molibtech hardening process which improves the mechanical and performance characteristics of its electric pumps' hydraulics. Following detailed research, Zenit has developed Molib-tech, which is an alternative to conventional ceramic coating. The Molib-tech coating technique is defined as "cold" coating, with no high

temperatures to cause deformation or stresses in the piece, using molybdenum carbide. This process is particularly suitable for preventing serious wear due to erosion or cavitation on pump impellers, suction flanges and bodies. The uniform layer of metal coating, evenly applied by a mechanical process, does not cause any change in clearance or loss of performance. The molybdenum carbide coating gives the treated component a surface hardness considerably higher than cast iron (1100 HV – 70 HRC), making it suitable for heavy-duty applications and use with abrasive liquids. www.zenit.com www.worldpumps.com
