The Symposium will deal with the following main topics:
The annual meeting of the Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena, sponsored by the National Academy of Sciences, will be held at the Downington Inn in Downington, Pennsylvania.
(1) External photoeffect and its applications. (2) Reception of picture information, storing receivers. (3) Semiconductor photon-detector, p—i—n and hetero structures. (4) Thermionic receivers. (5) Multiphonon effects. (6) Measurements with photon-deteZtors.
