The authors regret that the algorithm in Fig. 3 is based on Qadi et al. (2003). We have slightly modified the algorithm, as follows: we add the critical speed to reduce the energy consumption (line 11 in Fig. 3) and set the minimum speed of the processor when there are no tasks executing (line 5 in Fig. 3). Moreover, we set the minimum speed of the processor when the processor is idle. In line 12 of Fig. 3, we make sure than the speed of the task does not exceed the maximum speed of the processor. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
