Dr. Anath Fischer
CURRICULUM VITAE Dr. Anath Fischer is a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology and serves as Head of the Laboratory for Computer Graphics and CAD in the CMSR center. Dr. Fischer received a B.Sc. (1985) in Computer Science and an M.Sc. (1987) and Ph.D. (1992) in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion. From 1992 to 1994, she was a postdoctoral associate in the Injection Molding Program, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Cornell University, USA. Dr. Fischer’s major research interests focus on reverse engineering, physical-based systems, tele-medicine and geometric modeling for CAD. She has served on conference committees in related fields and has published papers in journals such as CAD J., ASME J., IJNME and IEEE TVCG and at various conferences, including Solid Modeling, Shape Modeling and ASME. Dr. Fischer has also been involved in international scientific cooperation with Germany, France and S. Korea. She is a member of ACM Siggraph, IEEE Computer Society, CIRP and ASME.
