New deveiopments in the markets for nonwovens as well as the latest advances in nonwoven technology will be featured at EDANA’s Nordic Nonwovens Symposium, to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden on 4 and 5 June 1997. Offers of original papers are now invited from companies, research institutes, universities and individuals, who should send a short abstract to EDANA for evaluation. The market in Europe continues to grow, despite the present difficulties in Europe and unfavourable price conditions. Production rose by 5.5% in 1995 to 634 000 tonnes. This growth was fuelled mainly by developments in Italy and in Scandinavia, resulting from investments coming on stream, and from the impact of currency devaluations. The previous symposium, held in Bologna in 1995, attracted 263 delegates from 155 companies from 19 countries. EDANA, 157 Avenue Eugene Plasky, Bte 4, 1030 Brussels, Belgium.
