The standards, examinations, and qualifications required of specialists in the states which have specialty laws are controlled by the dental practice acts and the State Dental boards. Some of t:hesedentists may be Diplomates of the American Board of Prosthodcatics, others are not. Consequently, some names that appear on this list may not appear in the list of Diplomates of the American Board of Prosthodontics which is national in scope.
