At least three additional appointments need to be made to compensate for the vacancies left when 13 members rotated off of the editorial board in 2010. We expect that these appointments will be made by the time of the Spring 2011 STS Board of Directors meeting. On behalf of the cardiothoracic community, we welcome our new members and extend our gratitude to the past and present editorial board members. Their unwavering efforts to make The Annals of Thoracic Surgery a useful vehicle for the communication of vital information benefits authors and readers alike and enables practicing surgeons to better serve their patients.
