EMS systems aided Final regulations published in the Federal Register make possible the creation or improvement of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) systems on a national scale. The regulations provide information on the activities of Title XII of the Public Health Service Act with support feasibility and planning, establishment and initial operations, expansion and improvement, and research of EMS systems. Abilene CE course The Abilene Area AORN will sponsor an extension course at Texas Woman's U n i v e r s i t y to provide c o n t i n u i n g education opportunities to professional nurses of the area. Doloris Alford will be the instructor for the sessions entitled "Leadership in Nursing." They will be held on Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm on Sept 28, Oct 12 and Nov 9. The cost of the course will be $45 plus books. It is a two-hour academic course and will count as 30 CERPs for those enrolled in the Texas Nurses' Association's program of continuing education,
