The newly formed AORN Task Force on Student Interest will be contacting chapter presidents for information on ways to create student awareness of perioperative nursing. The group, which was establishedjust prior to the 1981 Congress, hopes to include this information in a year-end report to the Board of Directors and in a resource manual for members’ use.. Task force members will contact chapters in the various AORN regions to exchange information on ways to generate student interest in OR nursing. The task force also plans to develop an audiovisual presentationfor use by chapters. The task force members are Inez Tenzer, chairman; Cathy Brown, Region 11, VII; Georgia Burnett, Region I; Geneva Dietrich, Region 111, IV; Constance OBrien, Region V, VI; and Kay Stodd, Region VII.
