A member of the general service union working in the Dietary Department is dismissed by the Director of Dietetics for failure to meet productivity standards. The employee files a grievance with the union that progresses through the steps set out in the collective agreement until it is presented to you as Administrator. After reviewing the incident, you confirm the Director’s decision and deny the grievance. The union then advises you of the name of their nominee to a board of arbitration.

Un membre du syndicat des services generaux employe au service de diktetique est congedie par le directeur du service parce qu’il ne satisfaitpas aux normes de rendement. L’employ6 depose un grief devant le syndicat. Ce grief franchit les differentes etapes pdvues par la convention collectivejusqu’b ce qu’il parvienne b votre bureau d’administrateur. Apr&setude de l’incident, vous approuvez la dkision du directeur et rejetez le grief. Le syndicat vous informe alors du nom de la personne design& pour faire partie du Conseil d’arbitrage.
