Extra-high head achievement Sarlin says its Sky Range pumps now offer a single pumping station design for heads up to 110 m and for flows up to 300 1/s. Such performance is frequently required in applications where there is a high static head or very long pipework. Typically, the only way to generate super high head lift has been to connect two pumps in series or to construct an intermediate pumping station. The Sky Range resolves this problem by offering a single stage design option. This means reduced capital and maintenance costs, as fewer pumps means less servicing, fewer spare parts and fewer controls. Cost reductions are also achieved through optimization of the rising main. All the pumps are fitted with the SmartTrim externally adjustable impeller clearance system so that wear adjustment can be carried out quickly and simply on site. In addition, a special flexible neoprene seal ensures a 100% tight sealing between the discharge flange and the baseplate - and where there's no leak, there's no waste of energy. All the Sky Range pumps can be fitted with Sarlin's preventive maintenance devices, including the SARI 2 for automatic motor resistance monitoring, seal condition monitoring probes and bearing temperature sensors.
