CONFERENCE ON VALENCE

1987, Bangalore,

INDIA

FIFTH International Conference on Valence Fluctuations will be held at Bangalore (India) during January 5-9, 1987. The Conference will focus on various theoretical and experimental aspects related to VALENCE FLUCTUATIONS in rare earth and actinide intennetallics. There will be invited talks and poster presentations on topics such as narrow band phenomena; dense Kondo systems; spectroscopies such as LIn-edge, EXAFS, XPS, Mossbauer, NMR and u+-SR as applied to mixed valent materials; itinerant magnetism; heavy fermion system and superconductivity; fermi liquid nature of mixed valent materials and new mixed valent materials, etc. Panel discussions will be organized on important subjects in Valence Fluctuations. Our next circular giving detailed information regarding submission of abstracts, travel, registration and hotel accommodation will be issued shortly and sent to all those who have already responded to the first announcement of this Conference.
