FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT MINERALS ENGINEERING '94
HYATT HOTEL, LAKE TAHOE, USA September 26-28 1994 Minerals Engineering '94 will be the 4th in the series of international conferences organised by CSM Associates Ltd (Camborne School of Mines, England) and Minerals Engineering journal. This meeting will be c.o-organised by the Mackay School of Mines, University of Nevada-Reno. Lake Tahoe, at an altitude of 6,229 ft, 22 miles long and 12 miles wide, is North America's largest alpine lake. It is situated ninety-eight miles north-east of Sacramento, California and 35 miles south-west of Reno, Nevada. The conference site is on the Nevada side, very close to the Californian border. Papers arc invited for presentation at Minerals Engineering '94, which will deal with all aspects of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy, such as concentration methods, flotation theory and practice, reagents, computer applications, hydro and biometallurgy and the processing of refractory ores. Abstracts, of no more than about 250 words, should be sent to "Minerals Engineering '94" by the end of December 1993. Authors will be notified of acceptance, or otherwise, by the end of January 1994, and full papers will be required by mid-July 1994. The conference proceedings will be published as special issues of Minerals Engineering journal.
