Elastomer guide for material selection A new 4-page Elastomer Comparison Guide, that provides the material characteristics and properties for 16 of the most commonly used elastomeric compounds, is available from Acadia Polymers. The guide presents a simplified review of various rubber materials. Inter-reacting and inter-related factors of specific application parameters provide the statistical information needed to optimize material selection. The guide provides a cross-reference chart of ASTM polymer types and a heat versus oil resistance graph for the 16 compounds is also highlighted.
