1 MAJOR WORKS IN POLYMER CHEMISTRY The polymer industry is the fastest-growing segment of the world economy. It is difficult and time consuming to keep track of new developments. The literature in this field is voluminous with an abundance of review books and publications on specialized material appearing regularly. There are, however, major works without which the polymer field would not have progressed to the high degree in which it exists today. Some of these publications will be identified below.
