Deionized Water Heaters Fluidix Inc. Mammoth lakes, Calif.

Ametek Supercoil Heat Exchangers are designed for heating and cooling in a wide range of metal-finishing applications. The heat exchangers come in lengths from 3 to 16 ft with 100 to 280 tubes of FEP or Q-Series resins. Well-known, nonstick characteristics of Teflon resist corrosion and fouling; high electrical resistance minimizes effects of stray electrical currents in plating tanks. The heat exchangers are available with heat transfer areas ranging from 6.5 to 113 ft2. These highefficiency immersion coils are ideal for electroplating, electroforming, and electroless plating baths; and acidic and alkaline solutions for etching, chemical milling, anodizing, cleaning, stripping, and electropolishing operations.

The SX and TX Series heaters from Fluidix offer a low-cost alternative to all fluoropolymer designs where water-purity requirements are not as stringent. These direct-heating, electric units are available in instantaneous-heating and reservoir versions in all standard voltages up to 240 kW or 20 gpm. Controls include digitally indicated PID controller with process alarms and a full complement of safety systems. Fluidix also offers steam and heating-water powered units in the same materials.
