J. Allerg. January, 1970

Obituaries

In the early 1940’s, Dr. Miller became intensely interested in the emotional aspects of allergy and was Chairman of the Psychosomatic Allergy Committee of the American College of Allergists for many years. He has written numerous papers on both organic and psychosomatic allergy and along with the late Dr. Dorothy Baruch was the author of several books. The theory of “maternal rejection” as a cause of asthma is attributed to Dr. Miller and Dr. Baruch.
