Letters to the Editor

Hyperthermia Follow Up Thank you for your excellent presentation on malignant hyperthermia (February Journal). I would like to make two additional points. First, the manufacturer of dantrolene sodium recommends that the sterile water used to reconstitutethe dantrolene sodium not contain any bacteriostaticagent. The label should read, “Sterile Water for Injection.” This fact may interest personnel setting up a treatment cart. Secondly, the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States, (MHAUS), located at PO Box 3231, Darien, CT 06820, will send posters and other educational materials to interested persons. The three tests were also not up to AORNs level of journalism. This one especially was very poor. Questions included had answers nowhere to be found in either article. I’m very disappointed in AORN. If future CEU offerings continue in the same vein as the three I have just completed, (July, September, De692

I read with pleasure “The Last Word” in the February Journal, especially the entry regarding pogo sticks. The same day my Journal arrived, my pogo stick amved. It was purchased through a magazine, and is designed for adults. Oh, what childhood fun. PAMELA D. HALL HOUSTON, TEX
