ANNOUNCEMENT INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON COMPARATIVE NEUROPHARMACOLOGY This will be held as a satellite symposium of the 8th International Congress of Pharmacology. The Symposium will be held on the 26-28th July 1981 at Okoyama, Japan. The programme includes presentations (given by invited speakers) on the evolution of the cholinergic system; GABA and glutamate as nerve muscle transmitters; autonomic nervous system; pharmacology of thermoregulation in birds; pharmacology of hibernation; temperature dependence of pharmacological responses in animals; pharmacology of insecticides and toxicants; simple CNS preparations as model systems in pharmacology.
