Junge Award
Call for nominations The Junge Award was established by the European Aerosol Assembly (EAA) in 1998 as a memorial to the contribution of Professor Christian Junge (1912–1996) to the international scientific community, and as a means of encouraging similar efforts and scientific imagination among contemporary scientists conducting aerosol research. The Award recognizes the outstanding research contributions of a (living) individual who has shaped a new field of aerosol science and/or technology, as Professor Junge did for Atmospheric Chemistry. Preference therefore should be given to a senior individual, in recognition of his complete scientific career. The award consists of a certificate, a citation, and an invitation to the awarding EAA-conference. The award will be made, whenever appropriate, during a European Aerosol Conference. Nomination of a candidate should be made by a full letter of justification, including a curriculum vitae and bibliography. Any member of an EAA member organization may submit a nomination. At least three supporting letters are to be included in the nomination, which should be sent by the deadline of 31st March 2007 to the Chair of the Junge Award committee, contact details given below.
