Metso turns Tamfelt into Fabrics business line

etso Corp’s recently acquired Tamfelt Corp is now the Fabrics business line within Metso’s Paper and Fiber Technology. Tamfelt Corp has changed its name to Metso Fabrics Corp. Subsidiaries Tamfelt PMC Corp, Tamfelt Filtration Corp and Tamfelt Kiinteistöt Oy continue under their present names. Reima Kerttula, who was president and CEO of Tamfelt Corp, has been appointed president of the Fabrics business line. Tamfelt was delisted from the stock exchange on 4 May 2010 after Metso had acquired all of Tamfelt’s shares.

Amiad continues to feel the effects of economic downturn

miad Filtration Systems Ltd’s trading continues to be negatively affected by the general economic downturn, especially in the irrigation segment and in industrial projects in the US. The filtration company expects to report revenues for the first half of 2010 of approximately US$37 million, including a US$6 million contribution from the recently acquired Arkal Filtration Systems Cooperative Agricultural Society Ltd, compared with US$36.8 million for the first half of 2009. Culligan divests Culligan Store Solutions to Primo Water

Porvair sees strong half year sales

orvair plc has made a strong start to 2010 and expects to report interim results well ahead of 2009 levels. In a trading update, Porvair said that it expects revenue growth in the first six months of the current financial year to exceed 10% at constant currency rates, reflecting a strong recovery in its Metals Filtration division and continued growth in most of the Microfiltration division’s markets.
