DuPont to buy Atofina surfactants business
Microbest Inc to acquire Purity Chemical
DuPont is to acquire Atofina’s fluorotelomer surface protection and speciality activities. This includes the fluorochemical ranges Foraperle and Forafac which are produced at VillersSt Paul, France.
Microbest Inc announced the signing of a Letter of Intent to acquire the Purity Chemical Division of Purity Products Inc. The acquisition of Purity Chemical will take Microbest to the next level by adding the manufacturing and product development resources required to build a complete line of products with its Bio-Base technology. Purity Products’ Chemical Division manufactures a full line of private label cleaning chemicals for Janitorial/Sanitation, Paper, and broad line Foodservice distributors in the US and Latin America. The combined revenues in 2002 for Microbest and Purity Chemical should reach about $4 M, giving Microbest a much stronger base on which it can build its business and accelerate sales growth.
