Dr. Carlos E. del Rio has been appointed chairman of the department of endodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He will continue to head the school's residency endodontics program. Elected: President-elect of the Massachusetts Dental Society, Dr. Herbert Schilder of Boston. fnstalled: As president of the Pennsylvania Dental Association, Dr. Arthur C. McFeaters of Pittsburgh. Dkd: Dr. Charles W. Lynds, an AAE member since t962, June 16 in San Diego following a heart attack. He was 56. A dental graduate of the University of Detroit in 1946, Dr. Lynds became a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 1966. He had maintained an endodontic-practice in San Diego following his retirement from the US Navy.
