The Secretariat of Dr. Charles Tator will be continued by Dr. Stanley Schatz, 237 Barton Street, East Hamilton, Ontario. B. The Executive Committee has unanimously approved for the WFNS Medal of Honour: Zdenec Kunc, Lars Leksel, J. Lawrence Pool, and M. Velasco-Suarez. The medals will be presented at the opening ceremony in Toronto. C. Scientific contributions of the 1985 Toronto Congress will be headed by "The State of the Art." Skip Peerless calls for abstracts to be sent in November 1984. D. At Toronto the five best Congress Papers delivered by young neurosurgeons (born after December 31, 1949) will be awarded the sum of U.S. $1,500 plus the Congress fee and their accommodations. They will receive a WFNS diploma of award. Candidates are requested to send in their curriculum vitae with their manuscript to Dr. Mario Brock, Department of Neurosurgery, Klinikum Steglitz, Freie Universitat, Hindenburgdamm 30, 1000 Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany, before February 1, 1985. Delinquent Member Societies, after four years, who have failed to answer registered letters from your Treasurer, Secretary and President, will have their membership suspended. This has been applied to two societies and their suspension will be ended after payment of their dues. The Committee on Neurosurgical Education in relation with the Foundation for International Education in Neurosurgery (FIENS) will establish a central bureau for the registration of trainees regarding periods of training abroad (Dr. William H. Mosberg, Jr., Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A.) Candidates for Officership and Membership of Standing Committees for the period of 1985-1989: All member organizations are strongly invited to send names of candidates according to the Constitution. The Constitution reads (Article VI, section 7, paragraph 1, page 16): "The various member societies of the Federation through their delegates to the Executive Committee may nominate
and submit to the Nominating Committee for their consideration, the names of individuals whom .they would like to have considered for one or another of the offices of the Federation." These suggestions must be submitted to the Secretary of the Federation in writing at least eighteen months before the next International Congress if they are to be considered."

T h e Sociedad Mexicana de Cirugia Neurologica; 1993 Congress in Mexico City. O t h e r applications are welcome. All secretaries of m e m b e r societies are urgently requested to inform the W F N S Secretary of the names and addresses of the Presidents and Secretaries. W e would also appreciate receiving an up to date list of members, and announcements of meetings.
