NEWS, REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON HYDROTHERMAL REACTIONS Nagatsuta Campus, Japan, 22—26 March 1982 An International Symposium on Hydrothermal Reactions will be held at Nagatsuta Campus, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Midori, Yokohama 227, Japan, from 22 to 26 March 1982. The topics to be covered in this Symposium are: (1) behavior and/or physical chemistry of pure water at high temperature under high pressure; (2) behavior and/or physical chemistry of solutions at high ternperature under high pressure; (3) hydrothermal synthesis and crystal growth of substances; hydrothermal reactions during synthesis or growth; (4) corrosion by hydrothermal water; (5) geothermal water related to geothermal energy. The program will include invited and contributed papers. Both original and summary papers are welcome.
Tittle of contribution and preliminary registration form written in English should reach the Organizing Committee not later than 15 July 1981. Authors will be notified of acceptance of their paper before 10 October 1981. Deadline for abstractsis 15 November 1981. The proceedings of this Symposium will be published between July and December 1982. The official language is English. 7TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CRYSTAL GROWTH (ICCG-7) AND 5TH INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL ON CRYSTAL GROWTH (ISSCG-5) September 1983 The 7th International Conference on Crystal Growth will be held in Stuttgart, Fed. Rep. Germany, from 12 to 16 September, 1983. It will cover all basic and technical aspects of crystal growth. Information may be obtained from: Dr. K.W.
