NUTRITION EDUCATION AND THE SPANISH-SPEAKING AMERICAN: AN ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY (1961-72) Christine S. Wilson A listing of nutrition education materials and background information for or about Spanish-speaking ethnic groups.
Printed Materials Nontechnical Materials(Spanish. or Spanish and English) Many professional groups in nutrition, the health and social sciences who work with Spanish-speaking people in the United States develop their own materials, often inexpensively and almost always rather simple in language. This is for the benefit of their clientele whose reading knowledge even of their own language is often rather limited or does not exist at all. The majority of the materials listed in this section represent such publications. For the most part their developers are unable, due to budgetary restrictions, to send copies free beyond the area of their jurisdiction. However, when solicited, these organizations expressed great willingness to share their publications through the National Nutrition Education Clearing House, and most were agreeable, as indicated in many of the citations, to have their pamphlets and ideas copied.
