ANNOUNCEMENT Journal of Social Behavior and Personality This journal, which is due to appear under the editorship of Rick Crandall with a distinguished board of Advisory Editors, would seem to be of interest to members of MID, and we have agreed to become one of the journal’s interdisciplinary cooperating societies. In return, the new journal offers substantial discounts to our members, i.e. a 40% discount on subscription ($15 instead of $25). There is also an extra $3 payable to overseas members. A special coupon is incorporated in this announcement to enable members of ISSID to claim this discount in asking for the subscription to the new journal. The new journal is critical of current journal practices, and seeks to improve editorial and review procedures. It promises editorial decisions in 4 weeks and publication in 4 months with courteous and tested procedures. Controversial papers that provoke debate. New theoretical work for integrations across fields. Papers on under-researched areas such as marriage. True interdisciplinary topics which most journals might say was a good paper, but not for their readers. Short notes, including replications. New applications of basic research. Sets of several complimentary theme papers. Papers (with reviews) which have been turned down by other journals for bad reasons.
