It has been suggested by Professor E. Barratt that it would be very useful for members of ISSID to have advance information of work planned and being carried out by other members in the area of personality and individual differences, in order to facilitate communication between researchers about techniques and ongoing research, and to avoid unnecessary duplication. Accordingly, we shall open a section on ‘Ongoing Research’ in Person. indiuid. Dz$ for members to send brief announcements of work in progress which they consider of interest to fellow members. The length of such contributions should not be above 800-1000 words, and preferably below that figure. This section will only appear when sufficient material is available. Copies should be sent to me directly, for immediate publication if possible. These contributions would not be refereed, but would be read critically by me. H. J. EYSENCK
