Peer Review Report
Peer review report 2 on “Perineal Paget's disease a rare disorder and review of the literature” Original submission Recommendation Minor Revision Comments to the author Firstly congratulations on your work in making this paper. However, the concept of perineal Paget's disease (even anal margin) is not new. There is quite a volume of literature already available on it even in text books leave alone journals. Additionally while reading your submission certain queries popped up such as:
DOI of published article: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.amsu.2016.06.012. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.amsu.2016.08.009 2049-0801
1. Why after a histopathological diagnosis of Paget's no work up for any underlying adeno-carcinoma was done and why treatment was delayed (1 yr. lapsed before MRI was done)? 2. Why not do a CECT whole abdomen to look for metastasis and completely anatomically dileneate the tumour before progressing to the first surgery? No mention of any pulmonary or any other metastases work up mentioned. Soumya Guha, MS, MCh CTVS, Residentsurgeon Cardio-thoracic Surgery, RML Hospital, New Delhi, 110001, India E-mail addresses:
