POETIC BITS AND BYTES
THE MECHANICAL
CRIMINAL
BENJAMIN WACHTELL
The computer has been developed to the nth degree, Never giving a thought to its inherent honesty, Utter faith that its answers could be based on fact, Not to be inveigled into a scheming pact.
The bookies, who at the track take your bets, Have fixed it so, that you lose on your pets; If, on the weather forecasts, you lay wagers, You will wind up with all those losing ragers.
But at last, our trust in it has been shattered, For it has to bits been battered, Since it was discovered and proven, Thai in scheming plots, it has been interwoven.
Long and thoughtful, you should tarry, If on a computer you depend whom to marry, In the stock market, you have been manipulated, You will find the wrong investments were rated.
The president of a bank, with your compliance, Has completely twisted the figures in its finance, Resulting in a large addition to his wealth, Which ultimately came from your participating stealth.
Even in lotteries and quiz shows, you have been fixed, Causing the wrong numbers to be mixed; This list of crookedness will be enlarged, When for judgement and punishment, you will be charged
