MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY, Poultry Science Department, seeks applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor. This is a 12-mo tenure track teaching and research position. The individual will teach the basic undergraduate Genetics course that serves the university. The individual will be expected to conduct research in his/her area of specialization and be actively involved with the graduate program. He/she will assist in recruitment of undergraduate Poultry Science students.
Minimum qualifications include: earned doctorate (Ph.D.) with training in basic genetics. A poultry background is preferred and evidence of successful teaching and recruiting experiences will be an asset. The salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications will be accepted through November 21, 1987 or until a suitable candidate is identified. The appointment will be available January 1, 1988.
