Aeration system cuts costs at UK airport surface run-off water, which can contain de-icing fluid, glycol, jet fuel, oil, dirt and grit. Drymounted Landia chopper pumps and Landia’s JetMix system are in operation on two new effluent storage tanks. The 5.5 m high, 12 m diameter tanks each contain a 18.5 kW, 1500 rpm Landia chopper pump.

PVDF version added to complete B2 Vario range A PVDF version has been added to the Lutz B2 Vario range. The B2 Vario drum pump in PP & 316SS has long been used for safely transferring/decanting thin
bodied acids, alkalis and chemicals such as battery acid, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, oil-based lubricants and cleaner solvent in factories, laboratories, swimming pool plant rooms and drinking water treatment plants. A PVDF version has recently been added to complete the B2 Vario range and features a variable speed controller which allows controlled filling of smaller and larger liquid amounts. There are no grease fillings and it can be used in small containers up to 200 litre drums. The PVDF has a wide range of applications due to its sealless construction and has a serially mounted hanger for storing the nozzle and cable at the pump. In addition, it is service-friendly and simple to dismantle.
