SAM EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT DATABASE

SAM is trying a new method to enhance opportunities for members. This is the creation of a job placement database. The new database will hopefully expand and better match employment opportunities for SAM members.

Individuals who are SAM members or Adolescent Medicine trainees looking for employment opportunities will submit a standardized form to the SAM office. This form will include information on the type of job and location they are requesting.

GOALS: To enhance the dissemination of employment opportunities for members of SAM. To help Adolescent Medicine, pediatric programs and other health care agencies locate qualified individuals with experience and training in adolescent health care.

MECHANISM: Programs, agencies or hospitals with an opening for an Adolescent Medicine position in any discipline will submit a standardized form to the SAM office.

The service for individuals is free to SAM members. The service for institutions will cost $50. Please make check payable to the Society for Adolescent Medicine and submit with form. Positions will be posted once in the SAM newsletter and once in the Journal of Adolescent Health.
