THERMAL OXIDIZER
SCRUBBER
Durr Environmental, Wixom, Minn.
Intellect Systems Inc., Bohemia, N. Y.
Durr Environmental's Re-Therm RL is a regenerative thermal oxidizer system designed to abate Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOCs). Internally the Re-Therm RL consists of a single-rotary valve mechanism, multiple regenerative chambers, structured ceramic block media, a burn chamber, and a force-draft fan to direct the stream. A unique feature of the Re-Therm RL is its continuous on-line "bakeout" capability. Like a self-cleaning oven, continuous bakeout eliminates particulate matter to increase maximum stream flow and abatement capability. The modular design of the RL lends itself to system configurations, allowing the wood industry to achieve redundant operating characteristics.
Custom-fabricated, packed-tower fume scrubbers with integral exhaust fans are manufactured in sizes ranging from 500 through 15,000 cfm. The scrubbers are self-contained with recirculation pump and manifold assemblies preplumbed. Automatic pH control systems are included in the package. Air-flow sensing circuitry alerts personnel in the unlikely event of an exhaust fan failure or sudden air flow reduction. Materials of construction are PVC, polypropylene, stainless steel, and fiberglass.

DUST COLLECTOR
AIR FILTRAnON UNITS FOR PARTICULATES
Sternvent Co. Inc., Bogota, N.J.
Envirosystems LLC, Tucson, Ariz.
Sternvent Co. Inc. features the Sternpulse SPV12 cartridge filter dust collector with 25-hp highefficiency fans. The 12 cartridge filters of each Sternpulse dust collector are cleaned continuously with compressed air to allow uninterrupted operation on a 24-hr basis. In most all cases, custom hood enclosures are created for the exact application.
Envirosystems' AirWall air filtration units are ideally suited for steel grinding, surface preparation, and metalworking applications. Offering efficiency rates of 99.9+% at submicron levels, the AirWall provides maximum performance without costly duct work for most metal-finishing needs. Custom applications are available to solve any airborne contamination problem in the metalworking industry. The AirWall isolates the pollution problem to the site that generates it, before it escapes.
