New company in metering business A new and specialist metering pumps division, known as Signal, has been established by Gee & Company of Birmingham UK. Gee's core business for 25 years has been supplying metering pump technology to water, effluent treatment and other industrial markets. However, the supply and support of pumps on a standalone basis has also grown. Signal gives the new pumps division a clear identity and purpose of its own. Signal will operate from Gee's headquarters building in north Birmingham, from where the division claims that it will be very much user-driven. Where solutions begin to grow into a need for systems rather than
pumps alone, Signal can still offer a single-source solution through our relationship with Gee & Company. As part of its launch programme, Signal has rationalised and re-branded its wide range of pumps into three groups or families of pumps the compact S100 solenoiddriven pumps, medium capacity S200 diaphragm pumps and the larger S300 process pumps. Signal is also offering a wide range of ancillary equipment including not just servo motors and a wide selection of valves but extends to explosion-proof motors, electronic controllers and the supply of complete pump and tank sets.
