Motorota's first-generation 0.35 IJm SiGe:C process (with integrated RF passive modules) recently completed qualification and is currently being used for several standard and custom designs (see last issue, page 13).

RF Micro Devices Inc (Greensboro, NC, USA) is sampling the SiGe HBT-based RF2492 duabband LNA/mixer. A complete receiver front-end, it has unique dual IF outputs interfacing to two independent IF SAW filters and is one of the first ICs to comply with GAIT (GSM/ANSI-136 Interoperability Team) specifications, supporting both TDMA and GSM/GPRS 30 kHz and 200 kHz IF bandwidths.
