The FIGIJ Newsletter, No.2, June 1993 Many members of the Federation accepted with pleasure the communication through the Journal, Adolescent and Pediatric Gyn ecology. We thank the Editor of the Journal, Prof. J. Sanfilippo, for his kind interest in publi shing the Newsletters. The provisional statutes of the FIGU (revi sed) are ready to be voted on during the next Executive Committee and General Assembly of the Federation. The Executive Committee will meet during the 6th European Congress on Pediatric and Adole scent Gynecology in Budapest on September 5-8, 1993. The General Assembly, according to the President's request, will be held in Singapore during the XI World Congress on February 24-26 ,1995 . The 1993 FIGU Bulletin is under preparation . Thi s Bulletin will include individual information on FIGU members. Unfortunately , many members of the Federation have delayed sending to the Secretariat their per sonal data. Thu s, we have sent a reminder with a deadline of June I, 1993. After that da y we will proceed with the publication of the Bulletin. The first multicentric study of the FIGU is completed and has been forwarded for consideration and publication. The subject is .. Adole scent Sexuality in Europe. " Ele ven countries contributed to the study. Due to the dela y in obtaining the relevant information, the study covers the years 1985-1989. Thi s study was undertaken by the Secretariat of the Federation . We would like to inform you about the following Congre sse s: 6th European Congress on Pediatric and Adole scent Gynecology. We also believe that an effort should be undertaken by the Executive Board so that Pediatric and Adole scent Gynecology be recognized as a sub speciality of Obstetrics and Gynecology. For this reason action should be taken toward the FIGO. The Secretariat would be more than happ y to receive letters with suggestions (Corr espondence: G. Finally , we invite you all to participate in the forthcoming Congresse s, starting with the one in Budapest next September, where we may also discuss several subjects related to our Federation. G.
