THE GEORGE FLEMING PRIZE The article entitled `Actions of betamethasone in models of acute non-immune inflammation', which appeared in the March/April 1987 issue of the British Veterinary Journal, Vol . 143, has been selected as the prize-winning article for 1987 . Of the four authors, P . Lees, A . J . Higgins, and A . D . Sedgwick wrote from the RVC Inflammation Unit, The Royal Veterinary College, London and M . J . Daniel from Glaxo Group Research Ltd ., Greenford, Middlesex. The prize, instituted in 1965 to mark the ninetieth year of publication of the journal and to honour its founder, Professor George Fleming, is awarded annually for the best article or series of articles published in the journal each year .
