Contains examples of many European and American companies which lead the field environment-friendly production in methods and products. The original German edition (published in 19901 has been expanded to include more international examples and broadened the specifically German legal and financial detail in the earlier version. Badly needed in all parts of the world but pity no reference to articles from Long Range Planning. But in the consumer driven society more never seems to be enough and the natural resources cannot cope with these never ending demands. If we are to achieve healthier and more rewarding lives, we have to understand what the
Earth can sustain. Unless we do, other efforts to avert environmental crisis will fail. Issues well argued in How much is enough?
