Bez Preliminary results are presented of a study of blood testosterone level distribution in phenotypes ABO in three groups of young men (Russians ti'om Moscow and Tashkent, and Uzbeks from Tashkent). The individuals with blood group O, on the average have a somewhat lowert estosterone level than in controls (A q- B q- AB), though a significant difference has been found only in the largest group. In view of the small samples, this result should be confirmed on the basis of more representative material. The data are interpreted from an immunological perspective. The genesis of hominoid's social activity is theoretically reconstructed on this basis. M o r p h o p h y s i o l o g i c a l I n v e s t i g a t i o n s of the A r i d Zone P o p u l a tion. Shagurina The rate of oxygen expenditure, the mineral saturation of the hand's skeleton, the blood biochemical indices (the levels of hemoglobin, cholesterol, general protein and protein fractions) and hemodynamic characteristics (blood-flow, pulse rate, and arterial pressure) were determined in the Kazakhs of Accoll village. This population, like all studied groups of the arid zone, is characterized by a decreased level of bone mineralization and relatively delayed rates of age rebuilding of the bone. The Kazakhs have low levels of oxidizing processes, high levels of hemoglobin and serum general protein and a relatively decreased cholesterol level. Abdushelishvili Categorial calculations were applied to the anthropological data for the racial analysis of 15 endogamic and local groups of modern India. Morphological distances were determined between the groups and circles of similar groups were distinguished. Contribution of each of the three major races to the morphological status of the studied groups is discussed.
