News Notes The American Board of Neurological Surgery 1983 Primary Examination The I983 Primary Examination will be held Saturday, March 26, 1983. Applications for the 1983 Primary Examination will be available from the American Board of Neurological Surgery in early fall of 1982. The Primary Examination for credit may be taken by any resident in an accredited neurosurgical training program in the United States or Canada at a time to be determined by the program director. It may also be taken for credit by practicing neurosurgeons who have satisfactorily completed their formal training. The Primary Examination for self-assessment may be taken by any resident in an accredited neurosurgical training program in the United States or Canada and by practicing neurosurgeons. The deadline for receipt of applications by the Secretary's office is January 7, 1983. Applications received after the deadline will not be processed and will be returned to the candidate accompanied by his or her check. All incomplete or illegible applications will also be returned to the candidate. The fee for the exam is $200, whether it is being taken for credit or self-assessment.
