Bluewater Bio signs reciprocal licensing agreement with Biowater

luewater Bio International has entered into an agreement with Norway-based Biowater Technology to market each other’s advanced, high rate filtration and Moving Bed Bio Reactor (MBBR) processes. The agreement covers Bluewater Bio’s FilterClear and Biowater’s CFIC products on a global, non-exclusive basis. The agreement marks the culmination of an increasingly close relationship over the past 18 months, including the co-installation of Bluewater Bio’s FilterClear and Biowater’s CMFF technologies on a water reuse system for the Nirlon ‘green campus’, near Mumbai, India. In addition to technology supply, both companies will provide, where necessary, relevant training and support. ustralian water solutions and desalination company Osmoflo has set up a wastewater business to serve increasing demand from industry and the utilities sector for efficient wastewater treatment systems that maximise water reuse. Osmoflo’s wastewater business will offer a full range of wastewater treatment systems in addition to membrane-based technologies. Contract options include engineering, procurement and construction (EPC); design, build, operate and maintain (DBOM); build, own and operate (BOO); rental; and commercial lease. Polymer Group invests in Waynesboro facility
P
olymer Group Inc (PGI) is to spend US$8 million upgrading machinery and expanding its manufacturing plant in Waynesboro, Virginia, USA. By the end of this year’s second quarter, PGI will refurbish more than 20 000 sq ft of the Waynesboro facility, upgrade an existing R&D machine used to create proprietary filtration technology, install two additional assets and improve the existing quality lab with state-of-the-art equipment. PGI will also hire up to 20 new employees at the facility. Once the investment is complete, PGI will be able to produce every component needed to make synthetic composites for enhanced mechanical filtration applications. Using these synthetic composites, PGI will initially target the HVAC, facemask, fluid power and automotive cabin air markets.
