SAM is trying a new method to enhance opportunities for members. This is the creation of a job placement database. Coordination will be handled by Dr. Lawrence Neinstein. The new database will hopefully expand and better match employment op portunities for SAM members.
2) Individuals who are SAM members or Adolescent Medicine trainees looking for employment opportunities will submit a standardized form to the placement coordinator. This form will include information on the type of job and location they are requesting.
GOALS:
The service for individuals is free mem.__to_ SAM _ _ _ bers. The service for institutions will also be tree in the initial six month period. Positions will be posted in the SAM newsletter and in the Journal of Adolescent Health. Forms for individuals or institutions can be obtained from:
1) To enhance the dissemination of employment opportunities for members of SAM. 2) To help Adolescent Medicine, pediatric programs and other health care agencies locate qualified individuals with experience and training in adolescent health care. MWX.AluISM: 11 Programs, agencies or hospitals with an opening for an Adolescent Medicine position in any cliscipline will submit a standardized form to the placement coordinator.
