The first edition of this book, published in 1931, evidentIy met with a great deaI of success for the work is aIready repubIished in. a second edition which has given the author an opportunity to deIete, as he puts it, “many redundant, obscure or incorrect passages” and to add such new materia1 as has deveIoped in the short interim. The opportunity has aIso been afforded for the addition of a very desirabIe and weIIof written chapter on Modern Methods Anesthesia. Now, thoroughIy up-to-date, this book is sure to retain the popuIarity aIready so firmIy established.
