If none of authors are professional members of ADSA, the publication charge is $140 per journal page. The savings from just two pages cover the cost of professional membership. Under the JDS open access (OA) policy, authors may choose to pay the OA fee in lieu of standard page charges so that their paper becomes freely available upon publication in an online issue. The OA fee is $1750 if at least one author is a professional member of ADSA or $3500 if no authors are ADSA members. Open access articles will be freely accessible through the journal’s website (http://www. journalofdairyscience.org/) at the time of publication. All other (non-OA) articles are freely available on the website 12 months after publication. You can be notified when the latest journal or articles in press are available.
