ANNOUNCEMENT Annual Competition The American College of Preventive Medicine, the Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine Foundation, the Association of American Medical Colleges, the Association of Preventive Medicine Residents, the journal Preventive Medicine, and the Ulrich and Ruth Frank Foundation for International Health announce their annual competition for the best paper in preventive medicine by a medical student. The prize for the best paper is $1,000 and it will be published, after editing, in Preventive Medicine. The awardee will be honored at Prevention ’97, the annual meeting of the American College of Preventive Medicine and the Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine, to be held in Atlanta in the spring. All prevention-oriented topics will be considered; papers addressing the implementation of clinical preventive services are encouraged. All submissions must be postmarked by October 22, 1996.
