Residents and fellows in radiology annual memorial award competition

Residents and Fellows in Radiology Annual MemorialAward Competition n honor of deceased members of the Association of University Radiologists (AUR), a Memorial Award Medal and Certificate, along with a $1,000 honorarium, are presented annually to the radiology resident or 1st-year fellow who submits the best original paper on any aspect of radiology. Eligible residents or fellows may submit as the sole author of their paper, or they may do so in conjunction with other residents or fellows and/or faculty. In the latter case, the resident or fellow must fully qualify as the senior author of the paper. The winning paper will be published in Academic Radiology, and the author will be asked to present his or her essay at the 46th Annual Meeting of the AUR in New Orleans, Louisiana, March 25-29, 1998. Note: all papers submitted for the award will be forwarded to the journal office of Academic Radiology for possible publication. Manuscripts submitted for the Annual Memorial Award Medal must be a firsttime submission, cannot be simultaneously under consideration for publication or award elsewhere, and cannot be scheduled for presentation before the 1998 meeting of the AUR. Papers should not exceed 6,000 words, and illustrations and tables must be kept within reasonable bounds. Otherwise, manuscripts should conform in all respects to the "Guidelines for Authors" found in each issue of Academic Radiology. Please note that submissions of a paper for the Residents and Fellows in Radiology Memorial Award Competition requires an abstract of that paper for presentation at the AUR meeting. Manuscripts received without an abstract will be returned to the author.
