The 42nd Annual Meeting of the Charles H. Tweed Orthodontic Group of Texas met in Dallas, Feb. 25-28, 1988. Featured clinicians were Norman M. Cetlin, DDS, New Center, Mass.; Royce G. Thomas, Rolla, MO.; and Mary Tyler, PhD, Texarkana, Ark. President Jimmy Boley, Richardson, Texas, presided over the meeting attended by 88 members, 26 guests, 22 orthodontic graduate students, and 143 auxiliaries. The prestigious A. P. Westfall Award was presented to Ron Gallerano, Houston, Texas; Jack Gerloff, Ft. Worth, Texas; and Mike Steffen, Edmond, Okla. Albert “Trip” Owen, Austin, Texas, received the C. T. Rowland Award, named in honor of the founder and first president of the group. Officers for 1988-1989 are Bill Robinson, Sherman, Texas, president; W. Elmo Penley, Denton, Texas, president-elect; Mike Allen, Garland, Texas, vicepresident; and Larson R. Keso, Oklahoma City, Okla., secretary-treasurer. The next meeting will be at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in San Antonio, Feb. 16-19, 1989.
