A new liquid concentrate that will polish, deoxidize, and condition zinc diecast prior to plating has been developed by Fidelity Chemical Products Corp. ZDC Bright Dip #7, used with nitric acid, is an excellent replacement for buffing or as a supplement to mechanical wheels and burnishing media. The bright dip can be incorporated in plating cycles as an acid dip to simultaneously desmut, brighten, and activate the surface to produce a smoother deposit with increased adhesion and appearance.
